ABOU T

The Northern Alberta Grazing Association (NAGA) is an organization that currently represents 1900 grazing leaseholders in Northern Alberta and has been in existence since the 1950's. These leaseholders have laboriously worked to develop and maintain functional and productive grasslands from the Crown.

NAGA assists leaseholders in advocating their rights to manage these leaselands for grazing purposes while promoting sustainable livestock practices, to be economically viable, and ensure the viability and sustainability of these grazing leaselands. NAGA provides grazing leaseholders with information on regulation changes and is a voice to show the public and the government, the value of grazing leases and value around leaseholders. We continue to lobby on behalf of all grazing leaseholders, representing their interests and concerns to Government, Bureaucrats, and Stakeholders, reiterating what leaseholders actually do, how much they contribute to the economy, the environment, and the government.

Leaseholders are continuous caretakers and stewards of these lands and should be recognized and respected as an important part of food production.
